5 Minute Tip: Generating Random Text

Being able to produce chunks of text very quickly is useful to see what the appearance of the finished piece of writing will look like, or to test how many words you can get on the page with a particular font.

It's easy enough to generate random text in Word, but what if you don't use Word?

Fortunately, there is another solution: the online random text generator. This lets you generate random text in a variety of languages. Then all you have to do is select the text, and copy and paste it into your document.

You can even choose to have the random text generated in HTML, which might be useful for testing style sheets:
