It doesn't matter how careful you are when typing a document inWord, there always seems to be various unwanted bits and pieces when you think you've finished. You know, things like extra paragraph spaces, extra spaces between sentences, that sort of thing.
It isn't hard to clean it all up, using the Find and Replace utility, but it is time-consuming. Fortunately, I came across a pretty good utility that can do several things at once.
The CleanUp Text & Formatting add-in is free, and didn't take much time to install. Instructions about how to install it are given.
It all worked smoothly for me, but if you're worried about messing up the basic template (known as the Normal template, install it into a different template instead, or make a copy of the Normal template first.
I've only run it a couple of times so far, and I'm quite pleased with it. It looks slightly dated in appearance, but who cares if it saves you time?
